Searching for Purpose
Are you searching for a purpose to your life? Well, let me ask you a question: "Do you know what makes you tick?"
Do you know what you want?
It seems an easy question, is not it? But many of us, we are already so out of our hearts, and identities that we do not even know what makes us more excited. Since children are born with a congenital and an immediate sense of what we want - food! And Mom! And sleep! As we grow, we know what we want to play with toys, the food we eat and we did not! But then we encounter the world, "public opinion" and tell us what "should and should not" want. How much of what we are today is stronger than a cast of all individuals (parents, teachers, coaches, employers, even pastors), they told us they think we are and what they think we should look like?
Your internal GPS
This can have a very damaging effect on our sense of purpose - because our internal GPS is our personal joy. The thing that gives us a buzz, that makes us feel alive - this is what we should be doing. For some, that might be an activity (sports, writing, teaching) or for others a way of interacting with others (making people laugh, listening to hurt people, inspiring others to be their best selves).
